The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) was founded in 1952 and is one of the largest trade associations in Southern Arizona, with over 350 local member companies and 40,000 national members through the National Association of Home Builders. SAHBA speaks with one voice regarding issues impacting the home building industry locally, regionally and nationally.
The organization produces two consumer home shows in the fall and spring focused on home improvement at the Tucson Convention Center. The SAHBA shows are some of the largest venues of its kind in the United States and have been become known as "the best home shows ever built."
40 years strong, the SAHBA home shows are produced locally and involve hundreds of businesses supported by thousands of exhibitor man-hours, show volunteers and the association's staff.
The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association has a long history of generously supporting many local charitable organizations. Known as the community builder SAHBA exemplifies its members' commitment to building a stronger, better Tucson. Organizations that have benefitted from SAHBA's support include the University of Arizona Arthritis Center, Habitat for Humanity, Tucson Fire Fighters, Boy Scouts of America, Youth on Their Own, and the Hearth Foundation.
